The Trainer
I run my 46-box yard in the heart of the beautiful Forest
Of Dean, just 20 minutes from the Severn Bridge. I have been
at Tudor Racing Stables since 1996, training numerous winners
both over the sticks and on the flat.
I come originally from Carlow in Ireland and started my career
as a stable lad and served my apprenticeship with Liam Browne.
During this time I took out my apprentice license and managed
to get about 40 rides, but my real interest was in the training
rather than riding and in 1988 I moved to England, First to
Welshpool and then to places such as Kidderminster, Redditch
and Stratford, before settling in Westbury-on-Severn in the
Forest of Dean.
I hold a full dual UK licence for both flat and National
Hunt. My team and I have turned out a high proportion of winners
and placed horses to runners.
